The second day of H2SK Forum 2026 focused on the future development of the hydrogen sector, highlighting the policies, partnerships and practical solutions needed to accelerate hydrogen deployment across Europe.

The programme began with an overview of the current state of the hydrogen market in Slovakia and the European Union. Experts discussed recent developments, future trends and the role of hydrogen in strengthening Europe’s competitiveness and energy security.

International cooperation remained a central theme throughout the day. Participants explored opportunities for collaboration with South Korea and discussed how global partnerships can accelerate innovation, knowledge exchange and market development.

Another key topic was Slovakia’s Hydrogen Action Plan. Speakers presented the country’s long-term vision, future development scenarios and financing opportunities for hydrogen projects beyond 2026. Discussions also highlighted the importance of cooperation between public authorities, industry, academia and civil society.

The afternoon showcased practical examples of hydrogen innovation. Participants learned about educational initiatives such as the H2 Grand Prix, support programmes for hydrogen projects in Central Europe, small-scale hydrogen production initiatives and years of operational experience with hydrogen-powered public transport.

As a co-organiser of H2SK Forum 2026, EASTGATEH2V was proud to support a platform that connects stakeholders from across Europe, encourages knowledge exchange and strengthens cooperation across the hydrogen ecosystem.

The two-day forum once again confirmed that the hydrogen transition will be driven by innovation, collaboration and shared ambition. Events such as H2SK Forum play an important role in bringing together the people and ideas needed to turn that vision into reality.
