Founded in 1952, it consists of <strong>nine faculties<\/strong> with strong expertise in engineering, energy, digitalisation and materials science. TUKE is an active member of international networks such as <strong>Ulysseus<\/strong>, <strong>EIT InnoEnergy<\/strong> and <strong>Hydrogen Europe<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>With more than <strong>12,000 students<\/strong> and strong cooperation with industry and research organisations, the university plays a crucial role in preparing experts capable of supporting Europe\u2019s transition to modern and low-carbon technologies. Its extensive expertise makes TUKE a key partner in the EASTGATEH2V project.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3><strong>The role of TUKE in the EASTGATEH2V project<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>TUKE provides essential <strong>analytical, educational and technical support<\/strong> for developing the hydrogen ecosystem in the Ko\u0161ice Region. Two faculties are directly involved:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (SjF)<\/li>\n<li>Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (FEI)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3><strong>TUKE is in charge of:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>assessing the<strong> environmental impacts<\/strong> of hydrogen technologies,<\/li>\n<li><strong>analysing social aspects and identifying skill needs<\/strong> for the hydrogen sector,<\/li>\n<li>developing<strong> training and education programmes<\/strong> for technicians, students and public authorities,<\/li>\n<li><strong>planning infrastructure<\/strong> for mobile hydrogen refuelling stations in Michalovce and Poprad,<\/li>\n<li>contributing to safety planning for hydrogen infrastructure deployment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>With strong technical expertise and research capacity, TUKE plays a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient and sustainable deployment of hydrogen technologies in the region.
